Stephen Colbert isn’t backing down in an extraordinary public dispute with his bosses at CBS over what he can air on his late-night talk show.
Stephen Colbert has three months left before “The Late Show” ends and he’s using that time to give CBS a piece of his mind. During an on-air segment on Tuesday, Colbert accused the network of barring him from interviewing U.S. Rep. James Talarico, D-Texas, on the broadcast.
Colbert, you’ll recall, said on Monday’s show that he’d been prohibited from broadcasting his interview with Texas State Representative James Talarico because CBS lawyers were concerned that President Trump’s Federal Communications Commission chairman, Brendan Carr, might take punitive action against the network if he did.
